Tony Romo and his brother Willy were picked up as strays in Statesville, NC. Willy was lucky and got adopted but poor Tony Romo was facing being put to sleep. He's about 1 yr old now. Not enough time to have even learned what love is yet! I saw his picture and I rescued him so he gets that chance! He's neutered, and UTD on his shots. He's housetrained, He sleeps in a crate and considers that his safe place! I think he's boston terrrier/ bull terrier mix, but I'm only guessing! I require an Adoption Application be completed that asks for personal and a Vet reference, a Home visit, an Adoption fee and contract. The adoption fee helps cover his vetting and neutering and his health certificate so he can legally cross state lines. I have Tony Romo on HOLD until he begins to trust humans! He LOVES playing with other dogs, but he's still so VERY SHY and Backward! I've had him since March 1st and he still won't come to me to allow me to pet him. I can pick him up, he'll NEVER bite, he's too afraid to even do that, he just tries to hide away from everyone and everything except other dogs. POOR BABY! I can hold him, if I reach under wherever he's hiding and pull him out, he'll allow me to pet him, you can tell he's tense and scared, but he's making progress. He now comes to get peanut butter like the other dogs. That's an improvement, but he has a LONG WAY TO GO! I don't know what happened in his short life to cause him this much distrust of humans, but with more TLC he'll get there! I tried taking him out for a walk with our springers and other foster dogs, he just kept looking back at the car, not wanting to go away from the car! He wanted back in. He REQUIRES a FENCED in YARD!!! If you don't have one, I'm sorry he just can't be adopted without one. The fence is HIS SECURITY BLANKET! I LOVE this boy! If he ends up living his life here, that's fine too, at least he's safe and loved!
